OCCA Love and Help Activities

The OCCA launched Love and Help Activity on February 4th. We have helped shopping and necessary errands for many returned travelers in voluntary quarantines at home. These activities benefit local communities in Covid19 epidemic prevention safety and reflected our sense of social responsibility.

The OCCA Communities Association is incorporated under BC Society Act on November 4, 2010 and registered with Revenue Canada as a Charity Organization on Sep.21, 2011.

Mission & Vision

Our goal is to promote the mutual understanding, respect, and acceptance among diverse communities in the Okanagan, to build partnerships with all levels of governments and, to encourage and facilitate the full participation of immigrants and descendants in the social, cultural and economic life of the Okanagan region.

We will reach our goal via (the Purpose of Society when registered as a Canadian charity organization):

  1. To develop, promote and increase the public appreciation of Canadian multi-cultures and history by providing seminars and celebrations.
  2. To provide services to new immigrants in need, such as language training, job placement and translation services for medical, legal and other appointment.
  3. To provide educational programs to youth to teach them about traditions and ethnic heritage of Canadian and immigrants.
