DESCRIPTION:The annual OCCA Spring Lantern Festival is fast approaching. Join us on Sunday\, February 9\, 2025\, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parkinson Recreation Centre  (doors open at 3:30 PM\, and the ceremony starts at 4:30 PM ) in Kelowna to celebrate the Lunar New Year as we welcome the Year of the Snake. This event promises to be an evening filled with cultural sharing and community building with a wide variety of activities such as:  \n  \n  Cultural Performances\n Dragon and Lion Dance\, both Traditional style and Trendy APT. Lion Dance\n Festival-exclusive Bubble Tea and food stalls on site\n Prize draws and 50/50 raffle tickets （Prizes range from $40 to $125\, plus a 50-50 prize draw for one lucky winner!）\n Photo booth with traditional costumes\n Face painting and crafts for kids\n Asian instrument demonstrations \n Dumpling-making workshops \nAdmission is free\, but pre-registration comes with the perks of FREE dumplings (limited quantity)!
