This summer, the OCCA Communities Association is offering a free 8-session photography class designed for beginners. Open to all OCCA members, the course focuses on capturing beautiful moments from daily life by using just a mobile phone.

No photography experience is required. Participants will learn the basics of composition, lighting, and editing, along with how to create short videos that highlight special moments.

Classes are held weekly at both outdoor and indoor locations depending on the weather. Attendees often also bring snacks to share and enjoy together after each session, creating a friendly and social learning environment.

Limited spots are available. To join or learn more, contact community@occabc.ca.

The OCCA Communities Association team can bring programs like this to the senior community because of the generous funding we have received from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP). This funding will allow us to expand our long-standing efforts to help seniors live healthy, joyful, and connected lives, which the organization has been doing for over 15 years in the Okanagan region.
