This 6- month program, exclusively available in the Thompson-Okanagan region, is designed to provide tailored solutions for immigrants like you.
OCCA Introduction:
OCCA Communities Association is a non-profit umbrella organization formed by a partnership of several multicultural communities in Central Okanagan.
Program Introduction:
The OCCA Job Connect for Future (JCF) program is a 6-month initiative aimed at empowering immigrants facing employment barriers. It offers comprehensive services, including a 8-week certificate training program, employment readiness support to enhance job search and digital literacy skills, employment placement with wage subsidies, and personal development assistance. The program’s ultimate goal is to equip participants with the tools and opportunities they need to overcome barriers, secure employment, and thrive in their chosen careers.
Kindly be aware that our cohort 1 training scheduled for January-March 2024 is ended, and our cohort 2 training set for April-June 2024 have reached full capacity. Additional applicants will be accommodated in our cohort 3 training set for September-November 2024.

Who Is Eligible?
– Residents in the Thompson-Okanagan area
– Newcomers or immigrants facing multiple barriers
– Achieve CLB 5 or higher
– Unemployed or underemployed
– Be legally entitled to work in Canada and BC
– Be at least 19 years of age
– Not receiving duplicative financial supports from another provincially or federally funded labour market program
