A recent feature by Kelowna Capital News highlights the work of Fei Liu, Executive Director of OCCA Communities Association, and her ongoing commitment to supporting immigrants and newcomers in the Okanagan.
Drawing from her own journey as a newcomer, Fei has focused on building inclusive programs that help individuals overcome barriers, develop confidence, and access meaningful opportunities in their new community. Through her leadership at OCCA, she has contributed to initiatives that support employment, entrepreneurship, and community connection. Meanwhile, her story is a powerful example of how personal experience can be transformed into community impact.
This also reflects the ongoing efforts of the OCCA Communities Association to support newcomers in building a sense of belonging and opportunity in the region. Through our programs and partnerships, we continue to work alongside the community to reduce barriers and provide practical support for individuals and families.
