We’re delighted to have Adrian Marr and Charisse Daley join the OCCA Board of Directors. They bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and a genuine passion for community work into this role and will allow for the expansion of OCCA’s capacity and the continued delivery of our services.
Adrian Marr is a retired Corps Sergeant Major from the Edmonton Police and a Branch Sergeant Major from Fish and Wildlife Enforcement. He has had a dedicated career of 35 years in law enforcement, serving with the RCMP, Edmonton Police Service, and Alberta Justice and Solicitor General’s Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Branch. Over the years, he has received several medals recognizing his service and has worked closely with the Chinese Community through the Edmonton Police Chief’s Advisory Council. Now living in West Kelowna, he remains active as a volunteer and board member with local nonprofit organizations. He officially joined the OCCA Board on May 16, 2025.
Charisse Daley brings over 35 years of leadership experience in community living and nonprofit sectors across British Columbia and Manitoba. She spent 23 years as Executive Director of Pathways Abilities Society in Kelowna, focusing on growth, inclusive programming, and long-term planning and is formally educated in disability support and nonprofit management. Charisse has also contributed her expertise to the City of Kelowna’s Accessibility Committee and as an advisor to Okanagan College. As a long-time supporter of OCCA, she played a key role during OCCA’s early years. We are proud to welcome her to the board.
For over 15 years, OCCA has been dedicated to serving and supporting our community through programs, services, and advocacy. With Adrian and Charisse joining our Board of Directors, we’re strengthening our capacity to meet the growing needs of the people we serve. Their leadership and experience will help us build a stronger organization and continue making a positive impact in the community.
